Customer Details

Ordering/Purchase process.

We collect customer information soley for the use of communicating with our customers through the ordering process. Keeping this data secure is very important to us, and we take several measures to protect this data. We store emails, names and addesses securely on our local database, unconnected from the internet to safeguard the data. Details written on paper order forms are stored securely. Customers names and email addresses are also stored securely on our website for the purpose of logging in to image previews. Our website is regularly updated with the latest security measures to safeguard this data.

We use customers details from the moment a booking is made to arrange photoshoots, to send photo previews, for liaising with customers during ordering process, and for the delivery of customers final order. We keep these details on our local database for a five years after order delivery. We keep this data for our records – should any customer wish to make another order, or should we need to access previous order details for accounting or order queries. Storing this data enables us to keep track of and locate previous orders and images, and allows us to access customers orders easily should they have any queries after the ordering process. This data also helps us provide a better service to our customers, and a more tailored service to returning customers.

For certain customers who provide their contact details on the day of a photoshoot, we use an email server to send out login details for portrait previews. Three months after these initial emails are sent, the personal details are deleted from the email server, however they remain on our local database as outlined above. They remain on the email server for three months as this is the time duration we set out for contacting customers regarding their photoshoot and for order deadline reminders.

High resolution Images are stored on secure, local hard drives and not accessible via the internet. Low resolution, watermarked images used on website previews are stored securely with online security protection measures to safeguard. Customers images are only accessible using the website login details provided. These login details are sent privately by email, or on printed paper proofs via nursery schools which are handed directly to school management to pass on to parents/carers.

We DO NOT use any of our customers data for any other purpose. We do not share this data with any third parties, and we do not use this data to contact customers for any other purpose than regarding their order, and during the order process. Any customer who wishes to view, update or remove their details from our database can contact us at lindsay@bouncephotography.co.uk or any other questions regarding our policy and we will be happy to do so.
